The Rehabilitation Science Research Network for COVID (the Network) is hosting the 2025 International Forum on COVID Rehabilitation Research on Friday April 25th, 2025. The aim of this forum is to advance knowledge transfer and exchange, collaborations and partnerships in COVID rehabilitation research in practice among persons with lived experiences, caregivers, researchers, clinicians, educators, trainees, representatives from community organizations, and policy stakeholders with an interest in COVID-19 rehabilitation research. The Forum will be held virtually (via Zoom) and in-person at the Rehabilitation Sciences Building, 500 University Avenue (Room 140), Toronto.
The Network Forum committee invites abstracts for in-person or online poster presentations at the upcoming 2025 International Forum on COVID Rehabilitation Research. Abstracts should align with at least one of the following themes, based on the Framework of Research Priorities in COVID Rehabilitation.
1. understanding experiences of episodic disability;
2. assessing episodic disability;
3. identifying and examining safe approaches to rehabilitation;
4. examining the role, implementation, and impact of models of rehabilitation care;
5. examining access to safe, timely and appropriate rehabilitation and other health care provider services;
6. methodological considerations in COVID rehabilitation research
a) community (including caregiver) engaged approaches to conceptualization, implementation, and knowledge translation in COVID rehabilitation research;
b) incorporating principles of health justice, epistemic justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion into COVID rehabilitation research;
c) engaging in multi-stakeholder / inter-professional and international collaborations in COVID rehabilitation research; or
7. knowledge mobilization including clinical practice, guidelines, education, policy etc.
The deadline for abstract submission is Friday February 14th, 2025 at 5pm EDT.
